The Atlantic City Air Show,
Thunder Over The Boardwalk is nothing but "WOW!".
This is one of the most amazing outdoor shows Atlantic
City has to offer and it's completely free. There is not
a bad seat in the house, actually the beach and boardwalk.
The Atlantic City Air Show
is a full day event that started at 10:00 am and ran all
throughout the day, ending at about 4:00 pm. Atlantic
City was packed, not to mention backups on all the main
roads leading into the city. Thunder Over The Boardwalk
2008 was seen by over 500 thousand spectators in
Atlantic City and the surrounding city's such as Brigantine,
Ventnor City and Absecon.
The headliner of the event was
the
US Air Force Thunderbirds. They put on a great show.
Other performers were the US Army Golden Knights Parachute
Team, Jim Beasley Jr. Spitfire demonstration, Northeast
Raiders Formation Team, Josh Wilson YAK50 aerobatic
demonstration, Greg Fagen MX-2 and Tim Weber GEICO two ship
aerobatics. Flybys included F-16 Fighting Falcons from the
177th Fighter Wing, ARW KC-135 Stratotanker III, US Navy
MH-53E Super Stallion and so many more aircraft. What a
great sunny day to be in Atlantic City.
