Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder Over The Boardwalk” will take to the sky on Friday, August 17, 2012 – New Acts, sponsors and exhibits help celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Airshows in Atlantic City

The Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder Over The Boardwalk” presented by Siganos Management returns to Atlantic City on Friday, August 17, 2012. Greater Atlantic City Chamber President Joseph Kelly made the announcement.

“I’m pleased to announce the Atlantic City Airshow is returning to the beach and Boardwalk in 2012,” said Kelly. “This year, in the spirit of a true community event, Siganos Management will be the Presenting Sponsor and Harrah’s Entertainment will be the Host Hotel Sponsor for the airshow.”

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army Golden Knights will both return to headline the 2012 airshow. This year also marks the first appearance by the Brazilian Esquadrilha da Fumaca or “Smoke Squadron”. The Brazilian Smoke Squadron will appear at only two shows this airshow season: Atlantic City and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Additional acts have been added to the airshow including a U.S. Marine Harrier Jet demonstration and a US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet demonstration.

It’s also the 100th anniversary of the first airshow to take place in New Jersey, held in 1910 in both Atlantic City and Asbury Park. To pay tribute, the Atlantic City Free Public Library and Asbury Park Public Library will offer a new exhibit – Flying Fearless: Celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of Airshows in New Jersey – at the Atlantic City Historical Museum on Garden Pier, the Atlantic City International Airport and Township of Ocean Historical Museum in Ocean Township, Monmouth County. There is also an online exhibit. To learn more about New Jersey’s airshow history and view the photo exhibit at www.njairshows1910.org.

“As our signature summer event, the Atlantic City Airshow continues to grow in scope and popularity each year,” said Jeff Vasser, president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. “It’s events like the airshow, the A10 Men’s Basketball Championship and Atlantic City Restaurant Week that continue to diversify our offerings and help keep Atlantic City a popular destination for everyone.” You will find discounted Atlantic City Vacation Packages online, see you there in 2012!

Harrah’s Entertainment will act as the official host hotel sponsor for the airshow. The resort will host both military and civilian pilots, including the US Air Force Thunderbirds.

The Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) will continue to serve as the host airport for the 2012 Atlantic City Airshow. Each year, the majority of airshow performers take off and land via ACY even though the actual airshow takes place over the beach and Boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Philadelphia Phillies 2011

One of the most amazing streaks in Major League Baseball isn’t held by a player. The Philadelphia Phillies have a streak of over 160 games that have been sold out at home in Citizens Bank Park. Phillies Tickets are really hard to gain access too, here are few reasons this is true. The team is currently leading the National League in wins and is coming off three amazing years in a row highlighted by the 2008 World Series Win. In the 2011 off season, the Phillies signed Cliff Lee in addition to Roy Oswalt and Roy Halladay in 2010. Add Cole Hammels to the mix and you have the top pitching rotation in Major League Baseball.

From an offensive perspective, Ryan Howard is a RBI and home run machine and is warming up as the warm weather does. Chase Utley is back in the line up after a long stint on the DL and is starting to find his swing and tempo, this bad news for apposing teams. Philadelphia Phillies 3rd baseman Placido Palanco leads the team in batting average and several other categories as he continues to drive in runners in scoring position.

Tickets to the Phillies Games are sold out for the remainder of the year, this make it’s more difficult to find good Citizen’s Bank Park Phillies Home Game Tickets.

Can you imagine how the Food & Beverage and Merchandise Vendors at Citizen’s Bank Park are doing? I’ll bet it’s the top producing stadium in MLB Baseball. Have fun and I hope to see you at an upcoming Philadelphia Phillies game in 2011. Get your Phillies Playoff tickets online now and see the Phils live.

The buzz of this fabulous event is in the air and rightfully so. First of all, the piece of land that this Summer Music Festival will be held on is perfect for an outdoor event such as the Dave Matthews Summer Caravan Music Festival. It is surrounded by water, consists of several acres of vacant land, contains a former Minor League Baseball Stadium, is easy to access and can hold 10′s of 1,000′s of fan. There are many great reasons to be a part of this music event.

For example, the weather in June at the Jersey Shore is amazing, generally high of 80′s during the day and 70′s at night with a fresh ocean or intercoastal breeze to stimulate the senses. Atlantic City will offer shuttles and trolleys from many locations to and from the Bader Field Music Festival, this will make parking a breeze.

There are many hotels along the Black Horse Pike for Dave Matthews Atlantic City concert attendees. The Ramada West Atlantic City is the closest hotel but the Comfort Inn & Suites, Lakes Bay Resort and many others are nearby.

Winning the Masters Championship and wearing the Green Jacket must be one of the most amazing feelings in the world. At the beginning of each PGA Tour year, the majority of the 150 players set a goal to make it to the Masters at Augusta National and the top 50 players probably set the goal to Win the Masters, the Super Bowl of the PGA Season and the First Major of the year.

Amazing, these PGA TOUR players have won multiple times. Do you understand how difficult Augusta National is? At any given time a player can 3 or 4 putt, can chip it off the green. The undulation greens are feature buried elephants and large changes in elevation while they run really fast at 12 or 13 on the stimp meter. This is a recipe for disaster for most players trying to win the coveted Masters Green Jacket.

The Masters Championship

In addition to its beautiful climate and year round temperate temperatures, it is no surprise that Hawaii is home to some of the finest golfing in the country. For golfers and non-golfers alike, the towns of Kihei and Princeville offer entertainment in the sun and plenty of opportunities to explore the great outdoors. Golf courses, the volcano parks, and plenty of beaches make this segment of the world a leading vacation destination for adventure vacationers.

Kihei is a town on Maui’s southern shore. It is located on the leeward side of the volcano called Haleakala. The local weather is dry and the town receives no more than 10 inches of precipitation per year, making it an ideal spot for the year round golfer. Beach vacations that include a round or two of golf with a view of the ocean is easily a spectacular afternoon.

Some of the better known courses in the area include the Maui Elleair Golf Club. This is a course which has 6,404 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. It was planned by Bill Newis and opened in 1987. The Wailea Golf Club is one more destination for the avid golfer. This is an 18 hole course which features 6,758 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. It was designed by Arthur Jack Snyder and opened in 1971. The Makena Golf Courses are also worth a round or two, as they receive continuously affirmative comments and take advantage of the fairly dry conditions on the leeward side of the volcano.

For persons interested in romantic travel and outdoor adventure while exploring Kihei, the Haleakala National Park is at your doorstep. This is a 30,183 acre National Park which encircles the crater of the volcano. 24,719 acres of the park are specified as wilds and are offered to hikers and backpackers. The park comprises the summit depression, Kipahulu Valley on the southeast, and a variety of secluded streams and pools. The park extends to the shoreline. For folks interested in hiking, there are two central trails leading into Haleakala from the pinnacle. These are known as Sliding Sands Trail and Halemauu Trail.

It’s significant to note a few items about the trails and park for the volcano adventurer. The high altitude at the summit of the volcano means that some of the hiking can be more arduous than you may expect. Temperatures are cool, but exhaustion is a real possibility.

On the north shore of the island of Kaua’I is Princeville, a small town that truly loves its golf. Princeville contains two world class championship golf courses called Prince Golf Course and Makai Golf Course. Together they comprise 45 holes of fantastically designed golf. The courses have earned Golf Digest’s ranking of number one in the State of Hawaii. Golf Digest also rated the courses as number 14 in its list of America’s Best Resort Golf Courses and number thirty nine in America’s Top 100 Greatest Courses.

The great thing about seeing Europe by train is that you can really end up in some out of the way places. Especially if you are feeing adventurous enough to leave the main railway lines and explore some of the less travelled ones. If you just head off wherever the wind takes you then you really can end up in some absolutely fantastic locations.

Not everyone feels comfortable about being spontaneous on a holiday. With some people they want almost every second of the trip planned beforehand and if there plan hits any setbacks they can become extremely stressed. The reality is though that all of these travel plans will hit setbacks so the holiday is almost doomed from the start. But by being a bit more spontaneous, you will be able to really get the most from your holiday and you won’t end up disappointed no matter where you end up. Not knowing where your final destination is going to be can be very exciting.

I love pulling into a railway station and just deciding at that moment to get off the train. Sometimes I just like the look of a certain place and it makes me want to get off and have a proper look around. But there are other days when I have just had enough of travelling and so I get off at the next stop. These unexpected stops almost always end up leading to exciting adventures where I meet people and see things that would not have been possible without an impulse decision. So now, because of my spontaneity, I have friends all over the place which I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

I really would recommend that you try this out the next time you are on holiday. All you have to do is hop on a train and see where you end up.

Nowadays, many people are driving to their foreign holiday destination. Many people drive down and catch thedover to calais boat. Doing this means you don’t have to worry about things like the disneyland paris tickets. At the end of the day there isn’t a better way of getting in some city breaks europe?

Sacramento restaurants are proving itself to be a culinary powerhouse because of the excellent food they offer in a range of different styles and from various ethnic traditions, with a particular emphasis on Asian dishes that offer delicious twists on well known favorites. Bargains can be found on such tasty fare as vegetable egg rolls, and the “Pai Gow” pot stickers featured at the Cordova Casino restaurant have made a reputation for themselves throughout California, as has their Miso glazed halibut served with baby bok choy and jasmine rice. Asian recipes are far from the only thing on the menu at Sacramento restaurants, with local versions of such mouth watering classics as Fettuccine Alfredo and chicken Marsala being offered with a distinct Sacramento twist. Unlike in other locations where good food can be pricey, at Sacramento restaurants there is good food at very cost-effective prices.

The entrees are not as expensive but is offered in larger portions like the Potato Skins, Caesar Salad, Chicken Tenders, Grilled Salmon, and Baby Back Ribs and all of these foods are prepared by professional and highly trained cooks. Sacramento restaurants are more cost-effective than their culinary cousins in other cities, but that makes them no less stylish, with diners cared for to first class treatment, beautifully appointed dining rooms, the latest styles and fashions in tabletop design and presentation, and friendly and courteous staff that make every visit feel like a true celebration. Sacramento restaurants are visited by travelers from all over the world who have come to the city not just for its abundant history, beautiful vistas, or opportunities for casino gaming or other recreations, but also for its delectable cuisine served in attractive settings at prices just about anyone are able to afford.

There is a virtual gustatory renaissance that is currently occurring in Sacramento restaurants, and the diners in the know are already aware of the high number of great options that exist there for a meal that tastes great without priced at a great fortune. Sacramento restaurants are gaining popularity, conduct a little research and find the best restaurant that will fulfill your cravings for excellent food.
